Impartiality
SSQA and its staff are free from any pressures or threats to impartiality like self-interest, self-review, familiarity or intimidation, which might affect their judgement in performing aduit and certificate services.
Procedures are in place to identify, analyze, evaluate, treat, monitor and document the risks related to conflict of interest arising from the provision of certification services and preventing persons or organizations external to SSQA from influencing the results of services carried out.
The company's adherence to impartiality automatically prohibits it to:
- Provide management consultancy services to other entities;
- Provide internal aduit services to any of its certified clients.
- Certify other certification bodies for their management system certification activites.
- Send auditors to certify the management system of organizations they have offered consultancy for, or have been part of management for minimum of two years following the end of consultancy or separation from the organization.
- Outsource audits to management system consultancy organizations.
- Offer certification linked to an organization offering management systems consultancy. In cases where an organization states or suggests that favors are provided by SSQA for those that avail their consultancy, a letter of complaint will be sent to the parties involved.
- State or imply that certification would be simpler, easier, faster or less expensive if a specified consultancy organization were used
Furthermore, the company shall take action to correct inappropriate links or statements by any consultancy organization stating or implying that certification would be easier, faster or less expensive if the company shall be used.
